The silence of the penthouse was a stark contrast to the chaos brewing across the city. Sameera stood by the floor-to-ceiling glass, her breath hitching as she looked down at the sprawling lights of Hyderabad. From this height, the city looked like a scattering of diamonds on black velvet.
"Ya Rab! Maybe this view is enough to ease my mind when I’m tensed," she whispered, her reflection in the glass looking back at her with wide, curious eyes. She explored the upper level, her footsteps muffled by the expensive rugs, but stopped short when she realized the truth. "What? Only one room?" Her heart gave a mini-stutter. One room meant one bed. One shared space. She let out a long, shaky sigh, trying to steady her fluttering thoughts. "It’s okay. For now, I just need to sleep."
